E-Government

a. E-Government in Belgium

Belgium : E-government website from the Belgian Federal Government (e-transmissions in april 2003).

In 2002, there isn't already any portal website for secured transactions between the public administration and the citisen. Anyway, some services are already enabled, like Intervat , for VAT legal treatments ( explanations ), or the Vehicle Registration Division services (this one should be in fact active at the end of 2002). The annual taxes form for belgian citisen (in fact, an access to "intelligent" PDF files, to be returned by snail mail once printed...), are online since the 3rd of June 2002.

Ondernemen in Vlaanderen ("Undertake in Flandria"), E - Citizen (Singapore's E-Government) : those two website are taken as good E-portals example for the development of an E-Government for the Federal, Provincial and Municipalities administrations, by the Minister of Public Administrations (5th of Decembre 2000).Are also taken as good examples, the municipalities websites of the cities of Ghent and Mons, particularly for documents orders.

Governemental Agency for administrative simplification : more than 500 Belgian forms available.

In France, CERFA is the public administration's portal dedicated to forms. More than 1,000 documents are available online. Only some of them can be used for online translations (reading and/or downloading).
